Data we collect

• Account: email, display name, password (stored as an irreversible hash), country, city, language.
• Optional contact details: phone and WhatsApp, shown only if you allow it.
• Content: listings, photos (EXIF and GPS metadata removed on upload), professional pages.
• Contact requests sent to sellers.
• Technical data: security logs, hashed IP address, aggregated usage statistics.
• Payments: transaction references. Mboa Connection never stores card data.

Purposes

Providing the service, securing accounts, preventing fraud and spam, measuring audience, showing ads to free accounts, meeting legal obligations.

Advertising

For visitors and free accounts, Google may use cookies or advertising identifiers. Consent is requested where the law requires it. You can remove advertising by subscribing to a paid plan.

Recipients

Technical providers (hosting, storage, email), payment providers (Fapshi, Google Play, Apple), Google for advertising. Sellers receive the information you send them through the contact form.

Retention

Account: while you use the service. After a deletion request, personal data is erased or anonymised; billing records are kept for the legal period.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, objection and portability under applicable law (including the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017). Exercise them from your account or via the Contact page.
